The Bastard Edition: the result of more than 100 years of experience
The ideal way to taste our rum is to try a mini bottle (5 centiliter). Pure or as an addition to a hot chocolate sitting by a campfire, nice to give as a gift on a birthday or at a party. We sell it in a package of 12 mini bottles per order.
About the rum! Together with renowned sugar specialist Royal Cosun, we developed the unique blend of The Basterd Edition. In doing so, we were able to draw on the company’s more than a hundred years of knowledge and experience in the sugar industry. And the result is definitely there: a top quality rum, made with less than 0.6 grams of sugar per mini bottle or only 15% of a sugar cube.
The Bastard Edition already won two stars at the Superior Taste Award 2021 of the International Taste Institute Brussels and also a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2021.

The ingredients
The Bastard Edition is a successful blend of various rums from the following parts of the world:
- The Dominican Republic, up to 5 years old
- Guatemala, up to 3 years old
- Panama, up to 2 and 3 years old respectively
- Venezuela, up to 8 years old

We also have the advantage that we produce our rum in The Netherlands, informally Holland and its inhabitants called the Dutch. The water we use is one of the purest available in the world, giving you a unsurpassed “premium rum”.
A typical Dutch ingredient is present in this rum, worldwide known for the production of licorice. The taste of this brown sugar or as we call it in Dutch ‘basterd sugar’ makes this rum so tempting that you will undoubtedly pour yourself another glass.
