The uniqueness of Dutch Head Premium Rum is the combination of typical Dutch and various international ingredients. This is precisely the combination that makes Dutch Head unique. Discover which rum ingredients give Dutch Head it’s characteristic taste.

Our rum is a blend, besides the necessary rum ingredients such as sugar cane, we have incorporated local products, such as:

 

PURE DUTCH WATER

It doesn’t get any purer

 

One of our key rum ingredients and the basis for our premium rum. The Dutch water is in such good shape that it does not need to be chlorinated. And this is the reason why we produce and finish our rum blend in The Netherlands. Due to the high quality of water we don’t use the “chill filtration” method as we want to give you pure premium rum!

 

 

BROWN CASTER SUGAR

Less is more…

 

Made from a solution of invert sugar, molasses and caramel. Caster sugar contains more water than granulated sugar. And due to the high moisture content and the finer grain, caster sugar also dissolves faster. We use only a pinch of this rum ingredient to get the maximum result in flavour and experience.

 

 

SUGAR CANE MOLASSES

The main rum ingredient

 

 

With the harvest of the sugar cane it is stripped of it’s leaves and subsequently mashed. The juice which comes out of this process is boiled to concentrate it and as a result promote the crystallization of sugar. In total there are 3 boils who produce “A/B/C” grade molasses. The last press is probably the most healthiest one with high concentration of minerals and vitamins. This is the rum ingredient from which every rum is made.

Each edition of Dutch Head Rum is unique and with a composition which you certainly would not expect. With a minimal use of rum ingredients such as sugars and certainly no other flavor or color additives! We try to keep the experience to drink rum as pure as possible. Also the point that every bottle has a unique batch and bottle number, sometimes with a modified cap or special packaging and also a hidden message on every bottle. You can’t get more authentic rum than this!
