Following our Master blender: Danny Vera
Especially Danny Vera’s extensive involvement was important in crafting this exceptional rum. Beyond a simple endorsement, Danny Vera dedicated numerous days perfecting the blend alongside with his friends. In order to achieve the desired sweeter taste and aroma, we avoided adding any sugar; rather, enhanced by the wooden, former bourbon barrels used for aging the rum.
In 2024 the Danny Vera earned a silver medal at the London Spirits Competition, please scroll down to see it’s achievements.
Most important: the Ingredients
Crafted with precision, the Danny Vera Rum is a blend of five distinct rums sourced from four famous distilleries. Furthermore our commitment to purity is unwavering; therefore, our ingredients include:
- 100% Dutch water
- 5-year-aged Dominican Republic rum
- 3-year-aged Guatemala Rum
- 2 and 8-year-aged Venezuela Rum
- 8-year-aged Panama Rum
The fermentation process varies, with molasses serving as the base for four of the rums, while cane juice is used for the Dominican Republic rum.
Echoing the artist’s sound, the taste profile also nods to American influence from former bourbon casks.
Crafting Process
The process begins with the careful blending of five distinct rums to achieve a balance in flavor and aroma. Preserving their original strength, these rums are blended at a remarkable 60% ABV (Alcohol By Volume), then precisely diluted to 40% ABV. Accordingly the rich flavors and scents bloom in this exceptional blend. In response to feedback on the Bastard, we offer a more pure rum without additives or sugar, reflecting Danny Vera’s music.
This entire process takes place in our distillery and bottlery, located below sea level in our homeland, the Netherlands, infusing every drop with our heritage.Â
Typically Dutch
Our advantage lies in producing rum in The Netherlands, known as Holland, with its pure water ensuring an unparalleled “premium rum” experience.
Inspired by Danny Vera’s song “Roller Coaster” which soared to the number 1 position in the 2020 Top 2000 chart, we believe we have a winner.
